The Union County Office of Veterans Affairs is located in the old Union County Jail Building (next door the County Courthouse) at 220-A West Main Street, Union, South Carolina 29379. Our office hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00AM – 4:00 PM. Our phone number is 864-429-1605.

Our goad is to assist our veterans. We counsel veterans to determine their eligibility for several types of VA benefits. We complete applications for VA disability benefits (service connected and/or non-service connected). We also assist veterans with applying for VA Health Care along with providing transportation to their VA (only) appointments at the Dorn VA Medical Center or the Community Based Outpatient Care Facilities in Greenville and Rock Hill. In addition, we provide assistance with filing applications for review and/or upgrade of the veteran’s military discharge, burial benefits, and assist in obtaining military records as well as previously awarded medals and/or ribbons that have been lost, destroyed or never issued.

This office works with various other county, state, and federal agencies (i.e.: DSS, Employment Security Commission, Medicare/Medicaid, etc.) in determining eligibility for other benefits.

If you have questions as to your eligibility of any benefits awarded by the Veteran Affairs Administration, please contact this office.
