Timken Park Sports Complex
Timken Park Sports Complex is located at the corner of Industrial
Park Road and Rice Avenue. The state of the art park will consist
of seven baseball fields to be used by Union Dixie Girls, Lockhart
Dixie Youth, Union Dixie Youth, Union Dixie Boys, Church League
Softball, Union Recreation Baseball, and other organizations.
The Timken Park Sports Complex will be capable of hosting district,
regional, or national tournaments for any level of baseball
or softball that is played at the park. There will be enough
space for teams to have a warm up area before games. The fields
will be capable of hosting night games with lights on each field.
There will be a lighted parking lot large enough to accommodate
the needs of all seven fields. The park will also be outfitted
with five picnic shelters, three fitness stations, a playground,
a lighted walking trail, and two cool zones. There will be two
2-story towers that will serve as press boxes and concession
stands. The north center tower, surrounded by fields 1-4, will
house a game room/recreation area. There will also be a maintenance
shed to house the equipment for the upkeep of the park.
