Juror Information

Jurors are drawn through our computer system at random. The summons are mailed approximately 21 days before each term of court. If you have served within the past three years you may choose whether you would like to serve or not. If you are over 65 years of age, have a child under the age of 7 and do not work outside the home, or get a Doctor’s excuse, you may be excused. The presiding judge must approve all other reasons on the first day of each court session.

Jurors are paid $20.00 per day for each day that you report for service. We have a message system that is used if you are instructed to call for information about the day and time to report again. This number is given to you when you report in the Clerk of Court office the first day of service. Jurors are expected to wear the proper attire and no shorts or tank tops are accepted in the courtroom. Courtroom decorum is expected at all times.

Parking is provided in the rear of the courthouse and behind the old jail facility and it is recommended that you report as early as possible to obtain parking close to the courthouse.
