County wide Events
JAKES Event/Public Safety Day/Kids Fun Day will be held Saturday, May 17, 2008 from 8:00am-12:00noon at Foster Park. The US Forest Service, Piedmont Chapter of the National Turkey Federation, City of Union, City Public Safety Department, and the Union County Recreation Department are the agencies responsible for the event. There will be prizes given away throughout the day. No Charge. (Click for more info.)
May 10, 2008: 10:30 am - 2:00PM. As part of the State Parks Service 75th Anniversary Year, Rose Hill will be presenting a public program on Heirloom Gardening. Two master gardeners will be in attendance discussing heirloom vegetables and roses, planting and care techniques, plant selection, organic gardening, and other topics.
